How to change the phone number your computer dials to access the Internet:

At some point in time, you may have to change the phone number your computer dials to access the Internet.  Here are the instructions to make the change if it should ever be necessary:

From your Windows Desktop in Windows 98:

• Double-Click 'My Computer'
• Double-Click 'Dialup Networking'
• Locate the icon for your Internet service (usually either TNH or The NutHouse)
• Right-Click on the icon
• Choose 'Properties' from the drop-down menu
• You will see the phone number your computer dials

• Delete the old number 
• Type in the new number you want to dial --example: 613-1239

• Make extra-sure there is NO checkmark in front of the line  "Use area code and dialing properties" (Win98, WinME) unless you are dialing long distance
• Be sure to click OK to save your work.
