When you start to get duplicate emails or your Outlook Express just seems to run forever without downloading anything, here's the easy way to fix it:
Go on-line and open Internet Explorer
Go to www.tnh.net
which is our home page. (You can also just click on the link in this message)
Click on the link that says "My Mail"
Enter your email address and password in the
proper spaces.
Now you will see a listing of all the email in
your mailbox.
You may have several pages of email, so go to the
LAST page. Do this by clicking on the > sign in the upper right corner of
the toolbar. Or, in the space next to where it says Page ____ of 5 (or
whatever), type the last page (in this example, it would be 5) in that space
and then hit the bent arrow icon next to it. That will take you to the very
last page of your emails.
Starting at the bottom, delete each message you
have already received. You delete by clicking in the empty box to the left of
the message listing. This puts a checkmark in the box. Once you have checked
all you want to delete, click on 'Delete/Undelete' in the toolbar at the top.
This will make all the checked messages change to a lighter print with a line
through the words. Now click where it says 'Purge deleted' up on the toolbar.
All those messages will be gone forever.
Keep repeating this until you have deleted all the
messages you have received. The very next one is the problem message. It's
either too big to come through properly or else it has a corrupted header that
is causing the problem. In either case, you can still read this message by
just clicking on it. Then you can delete it... and your Outlook Express will
be fixed.
