What is "Attended" use?

Attended use is YOU sitting in front of your computer, using it or doing something.

Attended is NOT you elsewhere while the computer has ICQ or AOL Instant Messenger or PowWow or whatever running and set to make a sound if/when someone wants to chat so you can get your chores done while you're waiting for some action.

Now, human nature being what it is, I know you're gonna have to go refill the coffee cup, visit the bathroom, answer the door or any of the other many things that can interrupt an activity.  I haven't turned into enough of a monster to ban all such lapses in your attention span!  But then, these lapses don't show any activity to the computer and if you get side-tracked and forget to come back, it automatically breaks your Internet connection (hangs up the phone) for you.

So why make this distinction? Why not let "unlimited" be truly UNLIMITED, SKY'S THE LIMIT, DO WHATEVER YOU PLEASE Internet service?

Because the Internet is essentially the world's biggest party-line!

We promise you NO BUSY SIGNALS at the NutHouse for $21.95 per month. To keep this promise, we add phone lines and modems as needed. Standard Service, without that promise, is either $14.95 or $20 per month, depending on your service plan.

We ask your cooperation in this matter.  Well, maybe "ask" isn't the right word.... we INSIST on it!  Failure to comply WILL result in an email notification warning you.  Continued violation will also result in one of the following options:

  • Moving your "Premium" account to the "Standard Service" unit where we don't guarantee "no busy signals"
  • Termination of your account
